A father in Kentucky grabbed his gun after allegedly finding a naked man, 20, on the floor of his 13-year-old daughter’s room.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the home in Florence shortly after midnight on April 28 when the father called deputies to the scene after discovering the unknown man in his home, according to a release.
Two hours later, deputies apprehended 20-year-old Parker Kramer on a burglary charge.
The release said that once in custody, Kramer allegedly “made admissions which led to additional rape and sodomy charges.”
The father, whose name is being withheld so as to protect the identity of his underage daughter, allegedly told police that “he awoke in the night and heard noises coming from his 13-year-old daughter’s room.”
He walked in to find a naked man on the floor.
“After telling the suspect that he was calling the police, the father went downstairs and soon retrieved a handgun,” the release said. “The suspect pushed past the father and then ran out the front door.”
That is when the father allegedly pulled out his gun and fired three shots, all of which were allegedly aimed “into the ground near the front porch of the residence.”

Deputies arrived and began combing the area for the suspect with no luck, according to the release.
The search got a little easier when they located the suspect’s car and were able to show the father a photo of the owner, whom he claimed to be the same man he found naked on his daughter’s floor.
In the end, it was a drone that managed to track down Kramer, said police.
Kramer allegedly told detectives he had driven 90 miles from Louisville to meet the minor female that night.
The age of consent in Kentucky is 16, but deputies did not say if the suspect knew the girl was a minor.
Kramer then allegedly made the aforementioned admissions which resulted in two counts of rape in the second degree and one count of sodomy in the second degree being added to the burglary charge.
He is now being held at the Boone County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
Court records show that he is scheduled to appear before a judge for a preliminary hearing on May 5.
