Rumi Carter is making her concert debut!

Beyoncé’s youngest daughter — who made her album debut on her mom’s Cowboy Carter track “Protector” — took to the stage during the song with her mom and big sister Blue Ivy, 13, on the opening night of the Cowboy Carter Tour in Los Angeles.

Several videos shared on social media showed the 7-year-old making a rare appearance at the show in a gold sparkly feather dress with matching cowboy boots. She could be seen hugging her mom, 43, during the opening lyrics of the song and then walking with her to the front of the stage during the chorus.

“Give it up for Rumi, y’all,” the Grammy Award-winner told the audience at one point as they walked together hand-in-hand.

Rumi appeared to be ecstatic to be onstage, as she could be seen grinning widely while waving at the crowd at several points during the show. She even struck a protector pose, crossing both her arms over her head, and had an adorable moment when she turned around and gave her mom one final big embrace near the end of the song.

Meanwhile, Blue Ivy was a constant presence as she danced behind the two in a sparkly gray ensemble that matched her mom’s Cowboy Carter-themed bodysuit. The teenager also towered also her mom and sister during the performance.

During certain moments of the song, Blue Ivy could be seen enveloping the two in an embrace and even holding her hand out for Rumi to hold.

Beyoncé shares Blue Ivy, Rumi and son Sir, 7, with her husband Jay-Z. Over the years, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer has slowly incorporated her children into her concerts, performances and songs.

Rumi in particular can be heard in the opening lines of “Protector,” asking, “Mom, can I hear the lullaby, please?” before the notes of the dreamy song begin. At the end of the song, children’s joyous voices can also be heard in the background.

Blue Ivy began performing as a back-up dancer during her mom’s Renaissance World Tour, which kicked off in 2023 when she was just 11 years old. Since making her onstage debut, she has performed with her mother at several different shows, including her mom’s NFL Christmas halftime show, which aired on Netflix.

The 13-year-old was also present when Beyoncé won album of the year at the 2025 Grammy Awards. During her speech, she noted that “it’s been 25 years of just working really hard and trying my best to keep growing and keep opening up doors,” and said that she was “very honored” and “happy” that her older daughter was able to see her win.

Beyoncé previously opened up about touring with her family in an interview with GQ in October 2024, saying that despite embarking on new business ventures, she’s had to carve out time for her family.

“One thing I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, ensuring my personal life isn’t turned into a brand,” Beyoncé shared. “It’s very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art.”

“I try to only tour when my kids are out of school,” she added. “I always dreamt of a life where I could see the world with my family and expose them to different languages, architecture and lifestyles.”
