SHURRY: So they took that haunted Annabelle doll to New Orleans – and the next day, Nottoway Plantation House, one of the most brutal sugar plantations in history, a few miles away burned to the ground?? Ope! Now she’s in San Antonio after all…more

“Annabelle Doll Appears in New Orleans, Nottoway Plantation Burns Down Just One Day Later: Coincidence or Omen?”

A series of strange events are giving the American online community “goosebumps”: just one day after the Annabelle doll – the legendary character considered the most “haunted” in popular culture – appeared at an exhibition event in New Orleans, the Nottoway Plantation not far away caught fire and was completely burned down. Currently, Annabelle has “moved” to San Antonio, Texas – and the people here are whispering warnings: “Watch out for Texas!”

Nottoway Plantation – A historical relic burned down

Nottoway, once the largest remaining sugar plantation in the American South, was completely burned down on May 15, 2025. The 64-room building, with splendid Antebellum architecture, was reduced to ashes. There were no casualties, but the historical and cultural loss was immeasurable.

Notably, the fire occurred less than 24 hours after Annabelle – a doll believed to contain an evil spirit – appeared at a occult exhibition in New Orleans, about 80 km from Nottoway.

“Where Annabelle goes, disaster follows?”

Immediately after the fire, social media exploded with countless speculative comments. One user X (Twitter) wrote:

“They brought Annabelle to New Orleans and the next day Nottoway – one of the plantations that was notorious for slavery – burned to the ground. Don’t call it a coincidence.”

Although there is no evidence to suggest a connection between Annabelle and the fire, the wave of superstition has exploded fiercely. Especially when it is reported that Annabelle is being “moved” to San Antonio, Texas – the next location in the “Occult Art and Cursed Artifacts” exhibition series.

Texas warns: “Don’t let Annabelle get near you!”

In San Antonio, where Annabelle will be on display this weekend, people are sharing TikTok videos warning each other to “stay home” and “stay away from the convention center”. Some business owners have even temporarily closed because they “don’t want to take any chances”.

A humorous but also haunting netizen wrote:

“Annabelle is traveling across the state, burning history and causing chaos. If you see her, turn around and run!”

Is it true?

Experts claim that this is just a coincidence, but the phenomenon is enough to create a strong media wave, mixing popular culture, superstition and social reactions to historical sites related to slavery.

When a doll famous for being “haunted” appears, and a plantation once associated with the ghosts of slavery burns down soon after – it’s hard not to speculate. And the truth? Perhaps only Annabelle knows.
